- Consider adding new case studies to the EWG Guide for Excellence in Evidence; community of practice to learn from others; enhancing local partners capacity for M&E; measuring change by FBOs; measuring SDGs wholistically

- Catriona: focusing on key areas and strategic areas evidence; building on to Lightwheel; currently 15 member team on evidence up from one person 5 years ago
- Daniel: Christian Journal for Global Health has increased submissions; mentoring researchers from LMICs; partnership with CCIH – last two conferences had research and publication workshops w/ increasing interest to apply this; Best Practices Global Health Missions for medical missions interventions; hoping to add to WHO standards for faith perspective; building an appetite for evidence from sacred texts and increased possible funding
- Dean: April World Bank Meeting w/ non FB group on how to measure SDGs
- Gates Foundation call for stories behind the evidence. Need to know how to connect with potential funders
- Renata &Frances-Rose: Inter-religious Dialogue (IRD) evidence; M&E book on IRD: theoretical and practical ex. Myla from CRS in Philippines
- Hosted a meeting with EIAP & GHR on evaluating peacebuilding methods; looking at whether IRD have an impact on peacebuilding
- Alfredo: part of the M&E unit in DC focusing on health systems strengthening evidence; especially with new system DHIS 2; especially useful for reach

Discussion & possible next steps
- Guide to excellence in evidence- Further develop the Guide to Excellence in Evidence so that it is more responsive, accessible and useful to the evidence needs of local users. Augment the library of resources with 6 more examples
- Within the context of the ongoing refinement of metrics for the achievement of the SDGs, with ever more narrowly defined indicators relating to sub goals, develop a rationale and concrete recommendations for the measurement of wholistic outcomes as well.
- Develop as a community of practice for joint learning and to accompany members in encouraging excellence in evidence in their own institutions; structure joint learning activities and increase their accessibility to FB partners from the global south
- Catriona: global to local perspective –building high level of evidence to influence policy change –how do we help local communities improve evidence
